Sealyham Terrier

The Sealyham Terrier is a small, spunky breed that is easily recognized by its distinctive facial hair, most notably the long tuft of fur that cascades down between its eyes and its trademark mustache. Originally bred to hunt badgers, foxes, and the otters that decimated local fish populations, the Sealyham Terrier’s wiry, weather-resistant coats allowed them to withstand the harsh terrain and the cold, rainy weather. Their short legs and compact frames made them experts at flushing prey out of their dens and towards awaiting hounds.
